It’s 56th District Week, and Monday and Tuesday will be Maroon and White Days districtwide as we proudly support our Owls and Lady Owls on their road to victory.

Mrs. Wolfe's students enjoyed a special classroom guest while learning about amphibians and the life cycle of an Eastern newt.
Congratulations to our junior student Sawyer Renfro who was selected for the Jackson Energy Youth Tour. Sawyer will represent Jackson Energy in Frankfort in March with a chance to be selected to represent them in Washington later in the summer. We are very proud of Sawyer!
To show appreciation to the OCHS faculty and staff, administrators covered classes while teachers and other staff members enjoyed a short "cake break" earlier this afternoon.
Congratulations to our January Students of the Month at OCMHS! These students consistently demonstrate our PBIS expectations through their positive attitude, responsibility, and respect for others. We are proud of the example you set each day.

Congratulations to two of our junior students, Gaberial Bowling and Sawyer Renfro, who were selected as winners of the Math Nation SAT Challenge. These students are in Mrs. Brewer's ALG2 class, which utilized this resource during recent NTI Days. Math Nation is a comprehensive, digital-first, K–12 math resource tailored for Kentucky to improve student outcomes. It provides 24/7 access to video tutorials and flexible access to study plans. Best of luck to all juniors who will be taking the SAT Test in March!
OCES Staff Culture Building Committee planned a cake break for February, and today our staff enjoyed a well-deserved sweet break.
Administration covered classes for a few minutes so teachers could step away, grab a treat, and enjoy a little time together. We’re thankful for a team that works hard every single day for our students.
Please remember we are a nut free school. This encompasses ALL nuts and nut butters.
Our kindergarten students are growing so much in their reading and writing. We are proud of the progress they are making every single day. Just look at this growth!
