OCES finished up their XC season at the Mountain Classic. 4th & under took home 4th place overall and 6th & under finish up 2nd overall! Great competition for our mountain athletes!









OCMS went 1-1 today at the KY Middle School State Tournament. Madelyn Cornett was named Player of the Game. The Lady Owls play again tomorrow at 11:30!

The Owsley County Lady Owls Volleyball team recognized five seniors tonight. We are proud of the hard work and dedication that these young ladies have exhibited for Owsley County High School. Seniors that were recognized tonight were Kaitlynn Caudell, Allie Smith, Kennedi Gilbert, Davin Hogan, and Haylee Wilkerson.

Jessalyn Noble brought her bearded dragon to 4th Grade Show & Tell. We learned about his habitat and how she takes care of him. Show & Tell is an award students can earn as an award based on testing.

Our Partners at PRI and Waterford are offering this program to families in the Owsley County School District at no cost. Families commit to 15 minutes a day 5 days a week to use a computerized learning platform that will adapt to student needs. Computers and internet access are avalaible for those who qualify. At tonight’s board meeting, Delaney Smith, Connor Patrick, Isac Lewis, and Jorge Perez were recognized for their KSA excellence. The board also approved and welcomed Irish Neace and Ian Moore as our new student data seam interns. Congratulations to these outstanding students on their achievements and opportunities!


Rory Mason and Erica Mason teamed up and had their design chosen for KYTC District 10 "Paint the Plow” project!
Students from JAG, art, and agriculture classes will work together to bring the idea to life. Watch for their finished design on a snowplow rolling through this winter!
