OCMHS 6th grade students participated in the Dollars and Sense program today. Students learned about taxes, making spending decisions, opportunity cost, and saving. Thanks to our High School students for participating as vendors.

Thirty- one students earned book tokens for the library this week!

Family Bake Night was so much fun! We made no bake cookies, read a book about kites and then made our own kites. Students took home a new book for the family to read. Join us again in November!

Special thanks to Owsley Co. Clerk, Austin Bowling, who met with our Senior Leadership class today at OCHS to discuss the importance of voting, and to help our eligible senior students register to vote.




It's a great day to be an Owl! Our home cross country meet went well under a cloudy sky, that cut the heat we are used to running in. Congratulations to Kelton Smith, fastest overall with a time of 6:05!
For OCES K-2 Tori Smith came in 4th. For OCES 3-4 Camille Brewer was 1st, Madelyn Havicus 2nd, Bella Smith 4th, Adilyn Cornett 6th, Serenity Smith 8th and Ilya Bobrowski-Hall 9th. In the boys race Mason Tolson was 3rd and Matthew Tolson 4th.
For OCMS Sophia Havicus was 1st, Ellie Spence was 3rd, Madelyn Miller 4th, Emily Isaacs 7th and Aaliegha Gibson 8th.
