On Tuesday March 11th, The Owsley County Board of Education will meet to discuss amending the 2024-25 school calendar by adding 10 minutes of instructional time to the school day beginning on March 12th. If amended, this extra time will be used to make up for the loss of instructional time due winter weather and flooding. This will tentatively move the closing day of school back into the month of May. Please monitor the Owsley County School District web page and social media for more information and plan accordingly.
