Today, our teachers participated in professional development focused on gathering feedback around our district mission, vision, and core beliefs. The joint leadership team, along with teacher leaders, facilitated sessions on our schoolwide goals, data analysis, and the referral process. A strong start to the year with meaningful collaboration and shared purpose.

OCMS boys basketball tryouts are coming up! Tryouts for grades 5-8 will be held August 11-12 from 4:30-6:00 PM at the OCHS gym. A current physical is required to participate. Let's go Owls!

The final touches are being completed on all our facilities as we prepare for the arrival of students next week. Thank you to our custodial and maintenance staff who have worked all summer to ensure our facilities are cleaned and prepared for our students.
For the first time in 43 years, Owsley Elementary will begin the year without Miss Peggy Gentry. To honor her memory, and her love for the children, the family has generously donated school supplies to start our year. We would like to thank them for their kindness.

Our middle and high school math teachers are diving back into their curriculum with a focus on how to better assess student understanding and meet individual learning needs. We’re excited to see the impact this will have in classrooms!

The district joint leadership team met today to kick off back-to-school preparations by identifying each school’s short- and long-term priorities and creating WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) to support student success.
