Winter MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing begins this week, starting December 8.
Please help your student be ready to do their best by making sure they get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, arrive on time, and have their Chromebook fully charged. Consistent attendance during testing is so important.

The Owsley County Class of 2028 Christmas Bazaar is in full swing at the OCHS cafeteria until 6:00 today. Come by, pick up a great gift, and grab a photo with Santa. We have lots of vendors set up and ready to help you finish your holiday shopping.
The elf showed up on our snow day to pick up the gifts from OCES for their adopted Grandparents! Thank you to everyone that helps us each year, this was Miss Peggy's favorite act of service.
Any senior OCHS student that sold poinsettias needs to pick up their orders tomorrow (Saturday 12/6) at O C H S between 10 a.m. and noon, during the Christmas Bazaar.

1st Grade had an out of this world experience at the Berea Planetarium!
Mrs. McCoy's 8th grade math students have been working together to solve multi-step equations while Mrs. Barrett's 6th grade reading students worked on an informational reading performance task, creating origami.
Photos from some recent student lab activities in Mr. Lewis' science classes including, building models of photosynthesis process, 3D Printing, and analysis of cheek swabs using compound microscopes!
Our Joint Leadership team met this afternoon to review the staff feedback from our district Data Night and to develop small actions for big wins. We also worked on creating the action steps for each school’s PBIS plan moving forward.
