Continuing our Meet the Team series with our amazing OCES office staff! They are the friendly faces that greet families, support teachers, and help keep our school running smoothly every day.

5th Grade Gifted & Talented students participated in an extension activity of their Early American Civilization Unit with Mrs. Bishop. Students created Mayan masks for further study.








Our OCES math teachers took part in DreamBox training this afternoon, learning how to use student data to guide and strengthen instruction.

OCHS Beta Club will be set up at the fair during Family/Community Night on Thursday, August 28! Students will provide free face paint and community members can sign up to donate blood at our fall drive, which will be on Friday, September 19 at OCHS Gym parking lot. See you there!

Our OCES Elementary Boys 3-on-3 League wrapped up today! It’s been a fun few weeks full of teamwork, competition, and lots of growth. We’re proud of the effort and sportsmanship our students have shown.

5th grade has been working really hard on mastering new vocabulary words! Our word wall is filled with their creativity! Before the test today they played the game Quiz Quiz Trade to review!



Our Meet the Team series continues with our Virtual & Alternative Team, who provide flexible learning opportunities and individualized support to help every student succeed.

The OCES Lady Owls 3/4 team took a big win in their first game against SES. The 5/6 team fell to the Lady Cats. OCMS will be back at it again tomorrow at Wolfe.

This evening, our new and emerging teachers participated in their first monthly session. The group collaborated to establish a shared vision of what defines a champion classroom as they begin their professional book study of Teach Like a Champion. We look forward to supporting their growth and development throughout the year.




It was a great day to be an Owl! XC at MoCo ended with PRs, a couple ribbons and Kelton Smith as the Boys Middle School Champ.
