Mrs. Hall's Biology students are working on projects to demonstrate their understanding of Cellular Respiration. "Student choice" was included for the project, giving students options such as writing/recording a rap song, a skit, or a story book using the lesson's vocabulary and key concepts.

5th Grader, Elaina Jones, created QR Codes for Pi Day and Owsley County Schools. She used Scratch, developed by MIT. Scratch uses a drag-and-drop interface to teach computational thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
Today at OCHS, Mrs. Campbell's freshmen English students completed an Adolescent Literacy Model literacy strategy, working with each other to organize the plot sequence from Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.

The Owsley County Board of Education has set the Owsley County High School Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony for Saturday, May 30 at 6:00 PM in the high school gymnasium.
