4th Grade wrapped up their studies on Earth's Systems & Plate Tectonics, with our annual "Ring of Fire" week. They studied maps , plotted coordinates, modeled a volcano and finished the unit with a volcanic eruption!

OCHS Varsity Cheer wrapped up their season with a wonderful banquet at Local Honey, celebrating an incredible year and all the achievements this team accomplished together.

OCHS Beta Club will host their 2nd annual blood drive on Friday, April 10 from 9-2. Students can sign up during their lunch periods that week. Community members can contact Jessica Brewer for a specific time or just show up that day! Thanks!
Most of our seniors and Jag students have prepared wonderful display boards for our annual Reverse Job Fair! We hope to see lots of businesses and employers come out to support our students and potentially find some prospective workers!

The Rogers Explorers program is a highly competitive leadership experience that allows students to spend time on a college campus exploring STEM, teamwork, and future career pathways.

It was a great afternoon at OCHS as middle and high school students enjoyed snow cones and recess at PBIS behavior Celebrations and MAP growth rewards including grade level outdoor egg hunts. Teachers and staff sponsored candy for the eggs, included some bonus points and "drop an assignment" coupons and more. Also, a special thanks to the Owsley Co. Public Library and the Lesa Marcum family.for sponsoring several of the special egg prizes. We are proud of all of our Owls and Happy Easter!
During National Beta Club Week (March 9-13), students celebrated the accomplishments and ideals of Beta: Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service. During students' lunch periods, Beta members led opportunities to set goals, to show kindness through thank you notes, to define what a leader is, and to generate ideas of service. It will be a new tradition for our local chapter to participate in from now on!

Congratulations to sophomore Landon Halsey for being selected to represent Owsley County as a 2026 Rogers Scholar! He will have the opportunity to spend a week at Morehead State University where he will build leadership skills and receive hands-on instructional training from professional experts in engineering, healthcare, and video production; and interact with nationally recognized business leaders and entrepreneurs.
