OCHS juniors are participating in a two-day SAT Boot Camp through Torch Prep, aligned to their practice data to target skills and strengthen readiness in preparation for the spring SAT test.







Update: Owsley County Schools will have bus evacuation drills on Thursday, January 15th. Please plan accordingly.
Owsley County Schools had a successful second quarter focused on student growth, instructional improvement, and collaboration. We are proud of the progress across our district and look forward to continuing this work in the second semester.

Our Joint Leadership Team reviewed progress toward school goals and developed next steps for continued improvement. The team also examined fall-to-winter NWEA student data to identify strengths and growth areas. These insights will guide upcoming conversations and action planning with school staff to support student progress.

January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we are thankful for the leadership and service of our school board members. Their commitment to our students, staff, and community helps guide the important work happening in our schools every day. Thank you, Mr. Deron Mays, Mrs. Andra DeBord, Ms. Fannie Couch, Mrs. Kimberly Campbell, and Ms. Joyce Campbell, for your dedication, time, and continued support of our schools.
