It was an awesome GEAR UP Family Paint Night event at OCHS! Thanks to our parents and students for participating and thanks to our GEAR UP staff, Mrs. Chelsea Harris and Mrs. Haley Sandlin, for organizing a great family activity.

Tonight's the night! If you've registered for the GEAR UP Family Paint Night at OCHS, we will see you at 5 PM in the high school cafeteria!

Owls and JV Owls will play their last preseason games on Saturday. They will play in the G.J. Smith Showcase at South Laurel High School. Please see attachment.

Owls lost their game by 2 points in the Food Bank Classic but played for a good cause. Proud of our young team.

Pictured are most of our KSA Proficient/Distinguished/No Novice Prize Drawing Winners from last week. These are some of the students that helped to move OCMS/HS forward with their test scores and hard work. 20 pairs of Beats earbuds and 2 HD Smart TVs for some great students!


Lady Owls traveled to WYMT studios today for Roundball Previews. After a behind the scene tour of the studio the girls took their turns in front of the camera!

Big wins tonight for our middle school boys basketball team against Lee Co. tonight. They won the 7th and 8th grade games and 6th lost on a buzzer beater. Leading scorers for 6th grade was Bryson Bowling with 14 and Eelan Bobrowski-Hall with 11 and leading rebounder was Fletcher Hatton with 8. For 7th grade leading scorers were Elijah Hatton with 20 and Bryson Bowling with 9 and leading rebounder was Elijah Hatton with 10. The 8th grade leading scorers were Andrew Terry with 31 and Dalton Sebastian with 10 and leading rebounder was Andrew Terry with 14.
The middle school boys will be back in action on Thursday night against East Bernstadt starting at 6pm here at home!

Elijah Hatton is the 9th Owls Breakfast Club Member to earn a T shirt. Way to go Elijah ! GO OWLS!

The Food Bank Classic is a “community works project” that the boys varsity basketball team will compete in Saturday. All canned items can be donated at OCHS, OC Public Library or given to a player or coach. Owsley County’s food donation will be recognized at their game Saturday.
