In Kindergarten: This week in kindergarten we will Finish up our Kings and Queens unit in reading. We will be recalling facts about Royal Familes, identifying characters,settings and main events. We will be focusing on rhyming and blending. In science, we will continue learning about how our actions impact the Earth in science. In math, we will focus on counting to 20 and recognizing numbers 1-20. We will continue building fluency in adding and subtracting. The following will be our weekly learning objectives: I can recall facts about royal families. (SL.K.1) I can use text and illustrations to identify the main idea of a story. (RL.K.7) I can describe the character, setting, and plot of a story. (RL.K.7) I can describe events in a story. (RL. K.3) I can blend sounds to make CVC words. (RF.K.2c) I can recognize/name lowercase letters of the alphabet. (RF. K.1d) I can count objects and write numbers to 20. (KY.K.NBT.1) I can add and subtract fluently. (KY.K.OA) I can make our Earth better by the choices I make. (K.ESS3.3) We will end our week with a “Fancy Friday” enjoying a royal tea party/ball! 👑👸🤴
