Pumpkin Contest Voting Time!
We need YOUR help! Our first period/homeroom classes have worked hard on their pumpkin creations, and now it's time to pick the best ones! Each first period/homeroom designed a pumpkin based on a current unit of study in their classes.
How to Vote:

2. In Person: Visit Owsley County Public Library and cast your vote in person at the pumpkin display.
Voting will close on October 31st, so make sure to show your support before time runs out! The top three classes with the most votes will be our winners!
Science of Reading Part 2
This week's incredible Owls are Mrs. Jessica Brewer, Mrs. Kathy Mayes, Mrs. Karisha Hayton, and Mrs. Amanda Brown.
Our Middle School Boys' Basketball team played hard and showed incredible teamwork on the court this week!

🏀6th: remains undefeated with a 2 win start to the season.

It was fire & ice day at OCES. We started the morning with Fire Safety with Booneville/Owsley fire department and Vincent fire department and finished up with some Kona Ice! Great day to be an owl!

Mrs. Gilbert's class working on their cvc words! Students are working their way through letter sounds. There are 26 letters but 44 sounds to master.
Congratulations to our book winners! CKLA generously provided us with book prizes as a reward for participation in Heritage Days.
Seniors in Mrs. Brewer's Financial Literacy class learned about Digital Wallets and Peer-to-Peer Apps this week by completing group presentations either on a Google Slide or Gallery Walk of chart papers about the different apps.
Students in Mrs. Brewer's Geometry Class have been learning about parallel lines & angle relationships. They have been engaged using the online Savvas program and the vocabulary development strategy "Give One, Get One" where they use each other and their notes as resources.
