K this week

This week we celebrate the dedicated bus drivers who go above and beyond to get our students to school safely and on time. Rain or shine, early mornings, and long days—they’re always there with a friendly smile and a caring heart.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and commitment. You’re not just drivers; you’re role models, protectors, and a friendly face that starts and ends each student’s school day. We appreciate everything you do!
Happy National School Bus Safety Week!

We get super excited about 100s in K!

OCES Red Ribbon Week

OCES parents and students enjoyed 4-H Family Literacy night! Thank you to Mrs. Miske, Mrs. Rosa Smith & Mrs. Pittman from PRI for hosting this for us!

It's time for the ultimate showdown! The Attendance Challenge just got more exciting-brackets have been drawn! Our 1st Annual Owsley County Schools Attendance Weekly and Tournament Challenge begins on Monday, October 28th. Let's keep the competition fun and support each other to show up every day. Parents, let's make sure our students are ready to rock the challenge and succeed together!

Thank You to Eli Gibson and Jamison Hacker for their welding and metal fabrication work to get the corn picker repaired.

Today, Mr. Brewer's Health & PE class held a fantastic Gallery Walk where students collaborated and showcased their knowledge on topics like mental health, nutrition, physical fitness, and more!

Students of the Week!

If you need to know about the best cleaning products, SPF, removing copper-plating or insulated cups, we'd recommend these ladies! Congrats to the Science Fair Winners, Caroline Henson (1st), Madelyn Havicus (1st), Ava Bond (2nd) and Bella Smith (3rd).

Pumpkin Contest Voting Time!
We need YOUR help! Our first period/homeroom classes have worked hard on their pumpkin creations, and now it's time to pick the best ones! Each first period/homeroom designed a pumpkin based on a current unit of study in their classes.
How to Vote:
1. Online: https://forms.gle/4QgtTFH7vVxT2GcM7
2. In Person: Visit Owsley County Public Library and cast your vote in person at the pumpkin display.
Voting will close on October 31st, so make sure to show your support before time runs out! The top three classes with the most votes will be our winners!
