Dear Families, We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Owsley County School District called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents/guardians and students informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with our schools. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, students, and parents to communicate. School, grade level and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices). Your login will be the email or phone number you have on file with your child's school. Students can log in using their school Google account. If you're unsure what contact information is on file or need to update it, please contact the school. Happy 4th of July

Our summer school students worked hard this summer to strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills through hands-on, creative learning. As part of their work, they created original stories and artwork inspired by the theme “Our Town, Our Story.” Their projects highlight both academic growth and a deep sense of pride in their community.

With the 2024–2025 basketball season complete, we recognize our senior, Tristian Jack Darling, for his time with the Owsley County boys' basketball team. Best wishes ahead.

Varsity and JV are using the summer season to prepare for the upcoming year. Great effort, strong teamwork, and steady improvement are all part of the process.

OCHS Varsity Cheer got the opportunity to complete UCA Camp this week. This was a chance for the team to perfect stunts, motions, jumps, learn new material, and most of all bond. We look forward to supporting our Owls and Lady Owls this coming season!
