SOAR KY and Framatome have partnered for great employment opportunities for college-aged eastern Kentuckians, including recent OCHS graduates. Please see the flyer for more information.

Photos from yesterday of our seniors, and other OCMHS students, on their last school day of 2024-25! Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be this Saturday at 6 p.m.

2025 has produced some significant weather disasters in Kentucky, including the recent tornado event in London and Somerset. We encourage all of our students, staff, and school community to help and support our eastern Kentucky neighbors through donations or service. One way OCHS can help is to follow this link to donate to the Team Kentucky Disaster Relief Fund for 2025 https://secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Finance/stormrelief/. Also, thank you to the OCHS Beta Club for making the first donation!
Today, the OCHS sophomore class opened a time capsule, filled with artifacts from the sophomore class of 2000! Students found artifacts ranging from photos, magazines, and letters from the past, including a New Testament and letter from our former superintendent, Mr. Stephen Jackson. This class plans to follow suit and refill the time capsule with their own items for a future OCHS sophomore class to open. Thank you to Carter Co. Superintendent and Owsley County native, Dr. Paul Green, for storing and preserving students' artifacts from his 1999-2000 OCHS U.S. History class!
