Today, 6th-12th students viewed a performance of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol, by OCHS Theater. We are very proud of these students and appreciate all of their hard work and preparation. Another public performance of the play is scheduled for tonight @ 6 pm.

Pictured are OCHS Beta Club students, who have organized donations of several Christmas gifts for local children. We are proud of these students for taking the time and making the effort this Christmas season to serve others.

Students in Mrs. Chelsea's ACT prep/GEAR UP class had fun practicing budgeting, engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills as they competed to build the tallest spaghetti structure in the class.









Tonight OCMS Boys Basketball played Morgan County in The Palace and won all 3 games.
6th-grade stat leaders: Bryson Bowling had 21 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 8 steals, and 3 blocks. Preston Sebastian had 26 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block.
7th-grade stat leaders: Eelan Bobrowski-Hall 28 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 block. Bryson Bowling had 9 points and 3 rebounds. Kelten Smith had 10 rebounds tonight and Christian Hahaj came away with 6 big steals.
8th-grade stat leaders: Matt Wright recorded 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan McCoy had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Daniel Caudell and Michael Darling had 9 points each.
The boys are back in action on Saturday to begin the middle school district tournament over at Lee County High School. Come out and support and cheer the boys on as we cap off our season.

Tonight the OCMS boys basketball team played Jackson City at home for a 6th and 7th-grade basketball game and won both. For 6th grade, it was a true team effort and was led by Bryson Bowling with a triple-double having 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. Bryston Bowling came away with 9 points and 9 rebounds. George Perez had 8 points, 3 rounds, and 2 steals. For the 7th-grade game, Bryson Bowling led with 20 points followed by Eelan Bobrowski-Hall with 17 points. It was a big rebounding night for Kelten Smith who had 11 rebounds and Matthew Darling with 9 rebounds.

Tournament passes are available for the 37th Annual WYMT Mountain Classic in the OCHS front office. These passes are good for all girls and boys tournament games this week. These passes are $25 each, but $5 of each sale comes back to our program. Gate prices are $7 per game.

This week at OCHS, blacksmith, Bob Montgomery, held a workshop with the 6th and 7th grade science classes courtesy of FSCS. Each student was able to forge their own coat hook!

OCHS presents "A Christmas Carol!" Showings are Monday, December 11, and Tuesday, December 12- both at 6pm in our Kids on Stage room.
Adults price is $10, students are $5, and ages 4 and under are free.

Time to dress up and dance! OCHS Theater hosts the Winter Formal Thursday, December 14. Middle school dance is 5:30-7:30. High school is 7:45-9:45. Couples are $15, singles are $10. We hope to see you there!

OCMS Boys Basketball traveled to Estill County tonight and won the 8th-grade game lost by 2 in the 7th-grade game and came up a little short in the 6th-grade game. The 8th-grade stat leaders were Andrew Terry with 34 points and 12 rebounds, Jordan McCoy had 13 points, and Daniel Caudell had 6 points with 19 rebounds. 7th-grade stat leaders were Bryson Bowling with 16 points and 6 rebounds, Eelan Bobrowski-Hall with 7 points, and Christian Hahaj and Kelten Smith with 6 points each. 6th-grade stat leaders was Bryson Bowling with 34 points and 6 rebounds and Si Thomas with 4 rebounds. The 6th and 7th-grade teams have a home game Thursday night against Jackson City.
Tonight's game is postponed to tomorrow at 6:30.

Tonight the OCMS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Breathitt County to take on the Bobcats. They won the 8th-grade game and came up short in the 7th-grade game. For the 8th grade game, Andrew Terry led the Owls with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 blocks. Jordan McCoy contributed 12 points and 9 rebounds. Matthew Wright and Daniel Caudell had 8 rebounds each. For the 7th grade game, Eelan Bobrowski-Hall and Christian Hahaj lead all scorers with 10 a piece. Bryson Bowling and Kelten Smith both had 7 rebounds each. The boys will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Estill County to take on the Engineers.

Owls Sophomore, Keegan Herald, was named player of the game tonight in the D.J. Begley Classic at Hazard. Herald finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds. The Owls will be back in action on Monday, December 4th, as they take on the Lee County Bobcats.
