OCHS presented special award keepsakes to students who scored "Distinguished" on spring 2024 KSAs. These students scored in the top 10-15% of students in the state of Kentucky on their respective assessments. Great job, Owls!

GEAR UP Family Paint Night is December 6th from 4-6pm! High school students and their families are invited to join us for an evening of painting, delicious food, and some information on planning for college and career. We will see you then!

Students are engaged in science at OCMHS. Mr. Lewis recently demonstrated a vacuum chamber while Mrs. Hall's Forensics students used microscopes to analyze hairs from different species.



FFA members had a great time at the North American International Livestock Expo & Championship Rodeo last night. A few students even met and got a picture with Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture, Jonathan Shell.






Today at OCHS students in grades 9-12 pledged to accept "Rachel’s Challenge" to look for the best in others, dream big, choose positive influences, speak with kindness and start their own chain reactions! Program sponsored by PRI School Coordinator Amy Dooley.



On Friday, Ms. Hailey prayed over the OCHS Varsity Cheer team for a safe and successful season!

This afternoon, to show appreciation, administrators covered classes while the OCHS staff enjoyed a nice meal together, to celebrate gains in school accountability from 2024 KSAs.




To complement tonight's Maroon & White Night at OCMHS, we recognized students today for proficient and distinguished academic scores on spring 2024 testing, which helped our middle and high school improve to Yellow Accountability ratings with KDE. Great job students!









Attached is the tentative schedule for Maroon & White Night tomorrow evening. It is highly encouraged that respective teams be early incase the schedule moves quicker than anticipated. We are excited to see all the hard work on display tomorrow night!

Mr. Parker and the OCHS Band hosted a great Halloween Concert tonight, filled with great band and individual performances. Thank you to our Band families and community members for your support!





We are a week away from Maroon & White Night! All of our Owls and Lady Owls have been practicing and working hard. Make plans to come out and see them showcase their talents in "The Palace".

Today, middle school students in Mr. Lewis' class participated in Halloween science activities courtesy of Gear Up STEM.
