Owls Freshman, Jordan McCoy, was named Player of the Game last night in the 2024 PRTC Classic. McCoy had 22 points for the Owls in their game against the Jackson County Generals.

On Monday, Senior Leadership had their first sewing class instructed by Jenn Amburgey. Students learned the basics to sewing and started on their own projects. Program provided by PRI School Coordinator, Amy Dooley.








Congratulations to the Owsley County Owls on their win last night against Lynn Camp! We would also like to congratulate Head Coach Tyson Gross and his staff on his first career win at the helm for the Owls.
Their game with Buckhorn has been rescheduled for tomorrow night.










Congratulations to the OCMHS 6th grade class for winning the 2024-25 High Attendance Tournament! Today, these students were awarded individual medals, class ownership of the championship belt, and a gym pizza party! Great job, Owls!





The OCHS Class of 2025 decorated the school Christmas tree today, as OCHS students and staff are looking forward to a great Christmas season! Also, congratulations to our senior class for winning last week's class attendance challenge belt!

OCHS presented special award keepsakes to students who scored "Distinguished" on spring 2024 KSAs. These students scored in the top 10-15% of students in the state of Kentucky on their respective assessments. Great job, Owls!










Keep your eyes out for the 2024 OCHS SnowPlow as it serves your Owsley County roads this winter! Thanks to Miss Chelsea and the GEAR UP students for their hard work on another great plow!

GEAR UP Family Paint Night is December 6th from 4-6pm! High school students and their families are invited to join us for an evening of painting, delicious food, and some information on planning for college and career. We will see you then!

Students are engaged in science at OCMHS. Mr. Lewis recently demonstrated a vacuum chamber while Mrs. Hall's Forensics students used microscopes to analyze hairs from different species.



FFA members had a great time at the North American International Livestock Expo & Championship Rodeo last night. A few students even met and got a picture with Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture, Jonathan Shell.






Today at OCHS students in grades 9-12 pledged to accept "Rachel’s Challenge" to look for the best in others, dream big, choose positive influences, speak with kindness and start their own chain reactions! Program sponsored by PRI School Coordinator Amy Dooley.



On Friday, Ms. Hailey prayed over the OCHS Varsity Cheer team for a safe and successful season!
