This week at OCHS, blacksmith, Bob Montgomery, held a workshop with the 6th and 7th grade science classes courtesy of FSCS. Each student was able to forge their own coat hook!

5th Graders in Mrs. Bishop's class worked to classify vocabulary for their reading of Don Quixote.


Lady Owls Opened 56th District play last night with a win over the Lee Co Lady Kats. The Lady Owls got the win 86-33 behind strong performances from Macey Brown with 19, Aaliyah Lynch 15, Addison Terry 14, Kenzie Grubb 12, Carly Smith 11, Shelby Murray 4, and Kamilla Marcum 4.










OCES teachers spent Monday evening reviewing test scores, to develop plans for growth.

Congratulations Lady Owls GUARD Addison Terry. Addison turned in a stellar performance on her way to becoming PRTC player of the game last night. Addison led Lady Owls with 30 points, 14 boards, 1 steal, with 6-11 from 3 point range. #ladyowlsbasketball

We are super proud of our OCMS Cheerleaders who brought home a 1st place trophy for the KAPOS 14th Region Middle School 2.5 minute small squad division! They advance to state competition at Corbin arena on Saturday, December 16! Good luck!

This afternoon, OCHS teachers further analyzed 2022-23 accountability data as part of KY's new accountability system. We discussed areas of celebration, growth, and adjustments to help move our middle and high school students and school forward.
