It was a Green Party! Teachers at OCES were celebrated and recognized for growth on the Kentucky Summative Assessment. All teachers in each subject were recognized because of growth in every area! Thank you to our teachers for their hard work!!

KDE Program Consultant, Rachel Njenga, met with Classified Staff in PLC at OCES to discuss Positive Behavior Interventions. She then met with all the teachers. Looking forward to implementing some new school wide strategies.

Today, OCMS/HS arts and band students were visited by TUNES Ambassadors Arthur Hancock and Chris Shouse (OCHS Class of 96), who represented the philanthropist group, Can'd Aid. They performed for our students and announced their group's donation to OCHS of musical instruments/equipment to help expand music opportunities for students in our school. Mrs. Wolfe's class had a cookie election today! Oreo defeated chocolate chip and they enjoyed eating them after voting.

OCMHS invites you to Open House on Friday, November 10 from 3-5. Teachers will be available to discuss grades, student work, & classroom activities. Our annual Maroon & White Night will follow @ 5:30. Students who bring someone to open house will get free admission to M&W night!

They are set to perform at 11:45 am, but that time is subject to change. Please come out to help support them and cheer with them during their Game Day division! Friday night, OCHS Band and Choir students performed a Fall/Halloween Concert in the OCHS Kids on Stage room. Thanks to attendees for your support and great job students and Mrs. Nolan for a terrific performance!
