The 2024 Kentucky Teacher of the Year, Kevin Dailey, visited Owsley County Elementary and Dr. Julia Bishop's classroom last week. Mr. Dailey made it his goal to visit teachers across the state who create welcoming, awesome places to learn. Attached is the article he created about his experience with Dr. Bishop.
Congratulations to Lady Owls PG Carly Smith. Last night in 56th District opening round Carly joined elite company becoming the 7th member of the prestigious 2500 Point Club at Owsley County High School!

Kevin Dailey, 2024 Kentucky Teacher of the Year, set a goal of interviewing a teacher from every district in Kentucky. His goal was to celebrate those exemplar educators that create incredible classroom environments, are fiercely optimistic about education, and are committed to providing opportunities to their students. We are proud to share that he visited and celebrated Mrs. Bishop and her classroom of students at Owsley Elementary this morning!
