We had a wonderful Heritage Day at OCHS on what has been a beautiful fall day! Special thanks to our FFA/Beta students and cheerleaders who assisted OCES students on hayrides, painted faces, decorated pumpkins, and led old timey games. Also, thanks to Shelbi Taylor, Alan Taylor, and our partners including the Smith family, Jen Amburgy, KyCL, the UK Extension Office, Tina Cornwell, FRYSC, Gear Up, and PRI.








Tuesday, October 8th! Wrestler Marty Clay will be in the OCES cafeteria at lunch selling student tickets to the show for $5. Meet an up and coming star in the business!

Pumpkin Patch Day at the OCHS Farm where head start and primary students (2nd-5th will come tomorrow) received a hayride/pumpkin, free books from KyCL, and played some old-timey games with OCHS students. Thanks to Mrs. Taylor/students/staff and to Mr. Alan Taylor who returned to drive the tractor.










Two in a row for Cross Country, after a strong showing in Lee last night, they traveled to Clay today. More results coming but Jack Darling took 5th in varsity. Kelton Smith took 1st in middle boys, Sophia Havicus got 3rd, Madi Miller 5th, Aaliegha Gibson 8th. In Elementary boys Mason Tolson 9th and for the girls Camille Brewer was 1st, Madelyn Havicus 3rd, Tori Smith 6th, Bella Smith 7th, Adilyn Cornett 11th, Ilya Bobrowski Hall 14th and Gracie Smith 15th giving our girls 1st place overall!







Mrs. Ward's class & the First Grade traveled to Robinson Center for Pumpkin Days. They enjoyed hay rides, pumpkin snacks and took home a pumpkin. 🎃






Mr. Lewis wowed the class with an exciting science experiment! He demonstrated different types of lab equipment and how to use them. The students were fully engaged, learning firsthand how science can be both fun and educational.

Mrs Lynch & Ms. Marley's class worked with Bloom Learn to practice CVC words for phonics today.
