This week at OCMHS:

Owsley County School District would like to congratulate Harper Byrd for completing the 2024-2025 Nursing Pipeline Program. Students with this achievement have attended monthly educational opportunities, either via Zoom or in person, and completed 8 hours of job shadowing with a nurse mentor at multiple ARH facilities across the region to help prepare them for nursing school and a rewarding career in nursing. Congratulations, Harper!

During Read Across America Week, our staff had the opportunity to select their favorite children’s or young adult books to share with our students. Thanks to the KYCL grant, we were able to purchase a copy of each staff's chosen book. Each staff signed their book and left a special note inside. These books will now be available on the shelves in our school libraries for students to enjoy and check out.
