Letter regarding Illness
The OCHS Varsity Cheer Squad has been traveling to various collegiate cheer clinics and combines since April 2022 including Georgetown College, Centre College, and Pikeville University. Some of our young cheerleaders even joined in some action at EKU this fall! This school year, it has been a goal of Coach Brewer to provide opportunities to cheerleaders who may be interested in pursuing collegiate cheer. They all work very hard and could pursue anything they wish! They are part of the heart and soul of OCHS! The varsity squad will be in their regional competitive action on Saturday, November 12 at Belfry High School at 2:00 pm. Be sure to also come check them out at Maroon and White Night on Friday, November 11! Go Big O!

*** ATTENTION ***
Due to widespread illness and decreasing student attendance, there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 3rd or Friday, November 4th. All extracurricular events, practices, games and after school programming will be canceled beginning this afternoon at 3pm.
All buildings will be closed until Monday morning to allow custodial staff to deep clean and sanitize the buildings and the school buses.
These will be No School days and will be made up at the end of the school year.

Don't forget Folks! Tonight from 5-7 OCES walking path will be open for trick or treaters with tables available for community members to give out candy! Community Trick or Treat will be from 5-8 In Owsley County!
The Owsley County Board of Education has re-scheduled the November 8, 2022 Regular Monthly Board Meeting until Thursday November 15, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. in the Central Office Board Room. Pursuant to board policy 01.42 anytime a regular board meeting is rescheduled it becomes a Special Meeting.
