There will be an open to the public meeting, regarding CIPA compliance at Owsley County Schools on Friday, February 10th, 9 AM at the Board of Education. This meeting will discuss current strategies employed by the district to remain CIPA Compliant. Visitors will be asked to Sign In. In respect of time, this meeting will have a strict agenda.

This afternoon an Owsley County School bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle on Roan Fork road. All individuals on the bus were examined by emergency medical personnel and were transported to a local medical facility as a precautionary measure.
The Owsley County School District would like to thank Allen’s Ambulance Service, The Owsley County Sheriff’s Office, The Booneville City Police Department, and the Owsley County Fire Department and Rescue Squad for their timely response to the accident.
We would also like to thank the numerous school employees who were at the scene to provide support for our students.
Best of luck to Peyton Younts and Irish Neace who will be competing in their Regional Academic Governor’s Cup today in Perry County.
