Congratulations to Owsley County FFA members who competed on March 7th and 10th. -Members of the Junior Parliamentary Procedure team: President- Lilly Thomas Vice President- Dalton Gibson Secretary- Peyton Denham Treasurer- Sawyer Roberts Reporter- Jerika Neeley Sentinel- Aden Abner Advisor- Hailey McIntosh This team was rated as "Superior" in competition. -Arabella Bishop placed second in the region in Employability Skills -Katie Beth Lucas placed first in Beef Production Placement and was elected as the new Kentucky River Region Treasurer -Mackenzie Sandlin was rated as Superior in the Agricultural Essay Contest -Jessalyn Bishop was ranked third in Agricultural Services -Carly Smith placed first in Equine Entrepreneurship and third in Goat Production Placement. -Michael Mason placed first in Vegetable Production Placement and third in Diversified Agriculture Placement. -Jacob Ratliff placed first in Wildlife Management Placement. -Alex Lopez placed first in Landscape Management Placement -Mariah Taylor placed first in Agricultural Sales Entrepreneurship, was selected as a finalist for Kentucky River Region Star in Agribusiness, and was approved for the Kentucky FFA degree, Christian Bowling was approved for the Kentucky FFA degree, and Jessalyn Bishop was approved for the Kentucky FFA degree.
