Congratulations to OCHS junior Michael Mason who has been chosen to serve as a Legislative Paige in the KY General Assembly in February 2023, representing OCHS and the OCHS FFA Chapter. Michael is one of twenty KY students to earn this distinction.

Congratulations to Irish Neace for placing 2nd in math and 3rd in language arts and to Peyton Younts for placing 3rd in social studies in the middle grade district Governor’s Cup academic competition against students from Lee, Wolfe, Breathitt, and Jackson City schools. They will advance to region competition on February 4.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Mercy Chef’s meals will not be available today. Meals will be available Monday January 16th beginning at 4 o’clock at the Owsley County Public Library.

The Owsley County Board of Education and The Owsley County Public Library have been given the opportunity to partner with Mercy Chef's to serve 200 meals daily in our community. These meals will be served in a drive through format over the next three weeks on a first come first serve basis, at the Owsley County Public Library. Please watch the Owsley County Public Library and Owsley County Schools Facebook page for information on times to pick up the meals. If you have any questions please call 593-5700.
Meals can be picked up on Saturday, January 14th at 4 pm.
Report Cards are being sent home today. If you do not receive your child's report card today, please let the office know Tuesday. If you'd like to schedule a parent-teacher conference, please let your child's teacher know.
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, schools will be closed January 16th.
