This afternoon our Lady Owls took a walk to hallways lined with our OCHS students and staff. Good luck tonight to our Lady Owls as they take on Estill County in the 2023 56th District Tournament Championship!


This week at OCMS and OCHS


Tonight, begins the 2023 fifty sixth District Tournament at Owsley County High School. The Lady Owls take on the Lee County Lady Cats at 6, followed by Estill versus Powell. Please keep in mind that season tickets do not apply to tournament games and that all fans, including students, will need to pay admission of 5 dollars for each game. Also, the gym will be cleared between games for tonight and tomorrow night and a second ticket would need to be purchased for re-entry to the second game. Thank you and we hope to see you this week as our Owls and Lady Owls go for district titles.

Due to wide spread flooding and more rain forecasted overnight. There will be No School in Owsley County tomorrow, Friday, February, 17th. This will be NTI day number three. This closure will allow school officials the opportunity to check all bus routes and turn arounds that have been affected by the excessive rainfall and flooded.

Due to rising waters and forecasted rain, the Owsley County School District will be dismissing early. Head start will dismiss at 1:30 and Owsley County High School and Elementary School will dismiss at approximately 1:45.
