After 10 years of dedicated service as principal of OCES, Mrs. Sylvia McIntosh is stepping into a new role as Literacy Coach at Owsley County Schools. While we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter, it is difficult to put into words the impact she has had on our school over the past decade. Her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to students and staff have helped shape OCES into what it is today.
Mrs. McIntosh leaves behind a legacy of compassion, rooted in her genuine love for children and education. She will certainly be missed in the principal’s office, but we are grateful that OCES will continue to benefit from her knowledge, experience, and passion in her new role.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. McIntosh and wishing her continued success as Literacy Coach.

There is nothing quite like seeing students excited about reading. Every book in the hands of a child helps build a stronger foundation for learning and future success.

Make sure to bring water, practice is outside. We have very specific rules about humidity that we must follow. Don't come without a physical. Athletes will be required to meet time minimums to compete in away meets, practice is important. - Coach Mc
