There were several student-athletes recognized last night at the baseball game versus Lynn Camp.
First recognized were two Owls during the 8th grade rising ceremony. Those recognized were David Gibson and Christian Hahaj.
Next were our senior baseball members who were honored during the senior night ceremony. The seniors were Jack Darling, Landon Moore, Connor Smith, and Koby Smith. They have all had several years of dedication to our baseball program.
Lastly, there was a career milestone that was recognized for junior, Dylan Gay. Dylan recorded his 250th career strikeout this past Friday in the Jackson County General Showcase. This is truly an impressive career accolade.
It was a great night for many of our baseball team members as they came away with a 2-12 victory!

OCHS Baseball will have senior night and 8th-grade night ceremonies starting at 5:30 prior to tonight’s contest with Lynn Camp. The game is set to start at 6:00. We hope to see you out at the ceremony and game tonight as we honor our baseball student-athletes.

OCHS Law and Justice students, along with Mr. Bowling, were able to tour the Department of Criminal Justice training complex at EKU. SRO Claude Hudson and Mrs. Campbell also joined the group. This was a great opportunity for our students who are interested in pursuing a future career in law enforcement.

Owls Freshman, Dalton Peters, had a dominant performance on the mound tonight. Dalton struck out 11 batters, allowed no runs, and no hits through five innings. He picked up the win in the Owls 9-1 victory over Williamsburg. The Owls will be back in action tomorrow night against Lynn Camp.
