This afternoon, to show appreciation, administrators covered classes while the OCHS staff enjoyed a nice meal together, to celebrate gains in school accountability from 2024 KSAs.
To complement tonight's Maroon & White Night at OCMHS, we recognized students today for proficient and distinguished academic scores on spring 2024 testing, which helped our middle and high school improve to Yellow Accountability ratings with KDE. Great job students!
Attached is the tentative schedule for Maroon & White Night tomorrow evening. It is highly encouraged that respective teams be early incase the schedule moves quicker than anticipated. We are excited to see all the hard work on display tomorrow night!

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, showed up to OCHS this morning after hearing that Attendance Challenge Championship belts were up for grabs. We had to explain to him that the competition is for students only. Also, the characters from Inside Out are here today!

Owsley FFA joined over 67,000 other members from across the country at the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo last week. Members toured Trader’s Point Creamery where they produce artisan cheese and ice cream. Other highlights were attending leadership workshops, networking at the Expo, listening to awesome speakers at General Sessions, and a great meal at St. Elmo Steakhouse!
Today at OCMHS, Mr. Lewis' 7th grade science students learned how to use compound microscopes.

Five of our senior welding students traveled to the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy, Ohio with GEAR UP. They learned about pathways, scholarship opportunities, and toured the vast campus.
