OCES hosted our 2nd Annual Poetry Night on Tuesday, November 25th. Fifth grade students shared favorites poems, original works and performed a Reader's Theatre of "Casey at the Bat." Today in Mrs. Bishop’s, students became artifact investigators!
Working in collaborative groups, they examined mystery items from the past and practiced making evidence-based claims using the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) model. This engaging activity encouraged critical thinking, historical inquiry, and teamwork as we launched our unit.
