Owsley County High School is located in Booneville, KY the county seat of Owsley County.  Owsley County is nestled in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and is part of the Daniel Boone National Forest.  Owsley County is the home of Earle Combs who played baseball for the New York Yankees from 1924 to 1935 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970.
